Effect of nano-AIN on performances of low temperature vitrified bond

Abstract In this paper,the effects of nano-A1N on low temperature vitrified bond of Na2O-B2O3-SiO2 borosilicate glass system was discussed.By means of differential thermal analyzer and X-ray diffractometer,the thermal properties,XRD,bending strength,and linear expansion coefficient,of the vitrified bond under different sintering temperature and atmosphere were tested and analysed.The results showed that,under Ar atmosphere nano-A1N will promote crystallization in the vitrified bond;when the addition of Nano-A1N is 6%,the sintering temperature range is widened by 30 oC.Under Ar atmosphere and the firing temperature of 710oC,when the content of Nano-A1N is about 6%,the vitrified bond reaches its maximum bending strength which is 35.64 MPa;The coefficient of linear expansion of vitrified bond decrease owing to adding of nano-A1N.When the content of nano-A1N is about 6%.the average linear expansion coefficient gets minimum.Which is 4.99 X 10-6oC-1.
