Abstract: In this paper, the morphology of inclusions in the synthetic diamond with FeNi catalysts were observed by microscopy. It is found that the gaseous inclusions in the synthetic diamond are mainly presented in different sized bubbles, scattered small bubbles, as well as clouds-like show in the crystal. Solid inclusions are mainly the graphite inclusions and metal inclusions. The strength, TI, TTI of the synthetic diamond with different types and contents of inclusions were tested and analyzed. The results show that the best quality of diamond are without or nearly without inclusions. Metal inclusion has little effect on the quality of synthetic diamond, the next is gaseous inclusion. Graphite inclusion shows the greatest impact on the quality of synthetic diamond.
