Based on the statistics of Shanghai Customs, this January, the import and export of Shanghai port to ASEAN stood at USD4.72b, drastically up 62.2% from the same period last year, with the effect of the establishment of China-ASEAN Free Trade Area in the first month prominent.

Such growth is 49.7 and 6.6 percentage points higher than that in November and December of 2009, 30.8 percentage points higher than the total import and export from the same period of the port, accounting for 9.8% of the total from the same period, with the proportion up 1.9 percentage points.
