Abstract: Based on an experiment research on truing and dressing process for the side-faces of sintered diamond circular saw blade, the author suggested that an appropriate way of truing, dressing, and appropriate parameters will significantly influence the process of truing and dressing. Then a design for rapid mounting and demounting of the blade was realized, some important factors that influence greatly the dressing efficiency and cost were discussed, and an optimized solution was recommended. An improved machine was produced and proved by experiments to be efficient and cost-reducing. Compared with the way of direct-feeding, reciprocating feeding is a more reasonable way of truing and dressing sintered diamond saw blades.
