Junior Canadian miner Big Red Diamond Corp. has reportedly identified a previously unreported gold occurrence on its Bristol Gold project in West Timmins, Ontario.

Big Red Diamond which has projects in the West Timmins and Quebec, and is partners with Metalex Ventures and Arctic Star in the Attawapiskat diamond exploration project in the northern Canada.

According to a MarketWire report, Big Red Diamond initiated prospecting and geological mapping over two claims blocks of the Bristol gold project in mid 2009. Survey sampling revealed two occurrences of altered porphyritic rock as well as a thin sulphide-bearing quartz vein.
