Abstract: In this paper, the merits of PDC (polycrystalline diamond compact) are evaluated on the basis of the interface structure between polycrystalline diamond and WC, micro-uniformity and the D-D bonding of PDC, by using scanning electron microscope and image-detection equipment etc. The samples are detected on the condition of non-damage to the physical properties, state and internal structure. Research results showed that: the merits of the non-plane interface PDC are better than that of traditional plane interface ones; The reason of PCD’s outstanding mechanical properties is the D-D bonding with three dimensional network structure in the diamond layer of PDC materials. Moreover, the more the D-D bonding, the better the properties of PDC.
