Application of modal testing technology in optimization design of diamond circular saw beam

Abstract: The modal properties of diamond circular saw were studied by the combination of modal testing and finite element analysis. The natural frequencies of diamond circular saw were obtained and the theoretical model of finite element analysis was validated and updated by the experimental data of modal testing. Based on correct finite element model, optimization design was carried on the beam of diamond circular saw blade to reduce the redundancy of stiffness and achieve weight loss in condition that the static and dynamic properties of beam be increased slightly.
