Apple's new tablet computing device, the iPad, will not be available for purchase until April, but the multi-touch screen device is already getting a glamorous makeover, BlackWeb said.
According to the website, English luxury goods provider Goldstriker, the same company that introduced the gold-plated iPod nano and the Diamond iPhone 3G, will be the one to create the blinged-out iPad.
Goldstriker said its diamond-covered iPad will see the device's frame studded with 11.43 carats of diamonds, cut in a micro-pave style. Goldstriker's diamond-covered iPad will carry a $19,999 price tag.
Mervis Diamond also intends on producing a version of a diamond-covered iPad, to retail at a similar price.
Apple has reported getting 150,000 pre-orders for the iPad.
