British Natural Gas Group has authorized a subsidiary of China Baosteel Group to set up a 550 kilometer-long natural gas pipeline in Shanghai for its liquefied natural gas project in Queensland, and will turn it over to Brisbane and Gladstone of Australia in October, Shihua Financial Information reported Wednesday.

The onshore pipeline will be the largest one by diameter in Australia, and local steel companies cannot construct it.
