We, as Izmir Fair, are pleased to organize MARBLE 2010 – 16th International Natural Stone and Technology Fair, between 24 – 27 March
2010 in Ä°zmir, Turkey. As the leading trade fair organizer of the country, we are also pleased to organize the unique international stone exhibition of Turkey; "MARBLE" since 1995. MARBLE was held in 1995 for the first time as the unique international Stone exhibition of Turkey, with the participation of 47 exhibitors on an area of 2.600 sqm. Today, still the unique international stone exhibition of Turkey "MARBLE", with 1.112 exhibitors and 51.560 attendees, has undersigned a great success and has satisfied Stone Industry and both regional and national economy with its fascinating accomplishment.
We invite all stone professionals to take place in the upcoming MARBLE that is shown as the 2nd biggest stone exhibition and as "The Best Stone Business Meeting" by some authorities, considering the progress and the marble potential of the home country.
TURKISH NATURAL STONE INDUSTRY
The one and only sector, which manages to increase its exports by 25 % every year in the last five years, is the marble sector. It is highly considered that this development will go on in the forthcoming years. The average development rate in the world marble sector is 13% while our national development in marble sector is 24%. Turkey has a large quantity of marble reserves, which include a wide range of colours.
Turkey's total proven natural stone reserves including marble, limestone, travertine and onyx are 5.1 billion m3. Turkish marble industry promises a profitable future for not only national but also international investors thanks to its large quantity of national resources, which include a wide range of colours and patterns. Upon strengthening mutual relations with foreign countries in the field of technology and commerce, the role of Turkish Natural Stone Industry in international markets will gradually gain more importance.
