The Gokhran, Russia's State Repository of Precious Metals and Gemstones, sold $7.9 million worth of large diamonds (weighing over 10.8 carats) at a recent auction, reports Diamond World.

Gokhran sold 95 lots of the 166 on offer, selling 6,474 carats of diamonds out of a total of 11,495 carats.

Gokhran plans to hold two more large diamond auctions this year.
