Abstract: The research of the phase transition mechanism of diamond from graphite at catalyst action has never interrupted at home and aboard. It is normal that there exist controversy over the same academic issue because the experimental phenomenon is not the same or the comprehension at the same experimental phenomenon is different. Views in and out of China, especially in China, on the phase transition mechanisms of diamond from graphite at catalyst action are introduced in this paper.
