China reiterates capacity elimination

The State Council has instructed the coke sector to shut down coke ovens with carbonization chambers below 4.3 meters (excluding stamping coke ovens above 3.2 meters) by the end of 2010, the ferroalloy industry to close electric finances below 6,300 kilovolt amperes, and domestic steelmakers to weed out blast furnaces below 400 cubic meters and converters and electric furnaces below 30 tons.
