China levies duties on US electric steel

The Ministry of Commerce announced on April 10, 2010 that China decided to impose anti-dumping and anti-subsidy duties on grain oriented silicon electric steel imported from the United Sates and Russia, effective from April 11. China Chamber of Commerce of Metals Minerals and Chemicals Importers and Exporters welcomed the final ruling that would slap 7.8 percent to 64.8 percent of anti-dumping duties on US companies and 6.3 percent to 25 percent on Russia’s.
