ABSTRACT: CVD diamond thick film is a pure diamond material with full polycrystallinity synthesized by chemlcal vapor deposition method. It can be in a thick sheet form of freestanding. Its physical property is much closer to that of natural diamond. and its chemical characteristic is the same as that of natural diamond. This review focused briefly on the research development, preparation technique, characteristic and property, machining test result and application prospect of CVD diamond thick film tool.
