Vietnam's import turnover from Thailand up 65 pct in first two months

Vietnam 's import turnover from Thailand in the first two months this year went up 65 percent year- on-year to 722 million U.S. dollars, according to the information center of Vietnam 's Ministry of Industry and Trade on Thursday.
During this period, growth of imports from Thailand was recorded in such items as electric cables and wires, cars and petrol.
The decline in imports from Thailand was seen in steel, milk products and garment and textile materials, said the center.
Standing at the top of the import list of Vietnam was machine, equipment and spare parts with import turnover of 73.6 million U.S. dollars.
