Supermodel Naomi Campbell has once again denied receiving a reportedly huge diamond from Charles Taylor, the former President of Liberia, who is currently on trial for crimes against humanity.
During an interview with ABC News, Campbell said, "I didn't receive a diamond and I'm not going to speak about that". Campbell then proceeded to leave the interview, punching a camera on her way out.
Actress Mia Farrow told ABC News that Campbell had described in detail a visit from Taylor’s representatives, during which she was allegedly given a diamond. "She said during the night, some men had knocked at her door and she, half asleep, had opened the door and it was representatives of President Charles Taylor and that they had given her a huge diamond," Farrow told ABC News. "We were like, 'oh my gosh’. You don't forget when a girlfriend tells you she was given a huge diamond in the middle of the night."
Taylor has repeatedly denied having diamonds and the allegation that he gave one to Naomi Campbell during his trial.
