Expo Organizing Committee Held the First Meeting

The first meeting of the organizing committee for the Expo Central China 2010 was held in Nanchang, Jiangxi province on April 30. Deputy executive director of the organizing committee, member of the standing committee of Jiangxi provincial CPC Committee vice standing governor of the provincial government Ling Chengxing and assistant minister of the Ministry of Commerce Wang Chao attended the meeting and delivered speeches. And deputy executive director of the organizing committee, secretary general of the secretariat and vice governor of Jiangxi province Hong Lihe attended and addressed the meeting, which was chaired by Liu Zuozhang, vice secretary general of the secretariat and director of the Investment Promotion Agency of the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM), with responsible persons from the sponsoring, supporting and undertaking units of the Expo and the provincial related departments as well as the ones of the Expo secretariat and all departments.
The meeting deliberated and principally adopted the Overall Plan for the Expo Central China 2010. And the secretariat immediately reported it to the MOFCOM and the provincial government for approval after its revision and improvement and thereafter printed and distributed it based on the opinion discussed at the meeting; and decided on related major issues on major events and special activities after deliberation. The secretariat of the organizing committee reported the preparatory work and relevant situations on the second meeting of the secretariat, and introduced the pre-arranged planning for Nanchang meeting of “Central China Forum”; provinces in central China reported their own preparations; and representatives present put forward related opinions and suggestions on preparatory work. Ling Chengxing and Wang Chao delivered speeches to fully affirm the work made since the establishment of the organizing committee for the Expo and made arrangements for the next preparatory work.
