ABSTRACT: Diamond Dressing gear is 8 profiling tool using in some gear finishing process. The author discussed the manufacturing technique of diamond dressing fear and some problems that need to be considered. Then, profiling the honing ring in D-250-C honing machine, globoid like grinding worm in gear grinding machine NZA with diamond dressing gear made by ourselnes. It is proved that the precision of diamond dressing gear is adapted to profiling. Meanwhile the author puts forward a new method to profile shaving cutter using diamond dressing gear.
