ABSTRACT: The present paper is intended to provide a summarization about the research the research development of grinding force during engineering ceramics home and abroad in recent years, including the investigations about the relationship between grinding force and microstructure & characteristics of ceramics, grinding parameters, machine rigidity, diamond wheels and grinding fluid. At the end of the paper, several new methods and research aspects concerning grinding force during grinding engineering ceramics are brought forward.
