ABSTRACT: The frame sawing movement consists of horizontal cutting and vertical feed. The equations to describe

this process are given. The models of cutting depth and cutting movement trace of single-diamond grit, single segment and total blade are presented. The contact area between segment and stone is analyzed. Some factors that affect the contact area are also discussed.
