Japan's Q1 Polished Diamond Imports Static

Japan’s polished diamond imports during the first quarter of 2010, worth some US$174 million, have remained fairly static compared to a year ago, reports Diamond World.
In terms of volume, there was a slight drop of 1.3% of polished diamond imports to 572,906 carats.
Polished diamond imports from Hong Kong rose 17.6% to US$17.2 million, while polished diamond imports from India fell by 9% to US$73 million.
Polished diamond imports from Israel fell by 14.6% to $20.1 million, while from Belgium there was a fall of 27.7%, continues Diamond World.
