CIBJO, the World Jewellery Confederation, has released the Precious Metals Book, which represents the second book to be released since the 2010 Congress meeting that took place in Munich, Germany this past February. The first book released was the Pearl Book.

Updates in the new version include the introduction of a new appendix giving information on precious metal finenesses.

The CIBJO Blue Books are a definitive set of standards for the grading, methodology and nomenclature standards for diamonds, colored gemstones, pearls, precious metals, and recently, also for gemological terminology and nomenclature.
