China's Non-Financial Foreign Direct Investment in the First 4 Months Amounted to USD11.4b

Spokesman of the Ministry of Commerce Yao Jian stated on May 17 that from January to April, China had accumulatively realized the non-financial foreign direct investment of USD11.4b, of which investment on that current month of April reached USD3.88b, up 35.7% from the previous month.
Yao said at the regular press conference during this time that from January to April, China’s contracted projects in other countries completed the turnover of USD23.08b, up 28.7% year-on-year, with the newly signed contracts of USD36.64b, down 17.8% year-on-year. The newly-signed contracts with investment of more than USD50m amounted to 131 ones, accounting for 78.4% of the total newly-signed ones.
From January to April, China’s foreign labor service cooperation completed the turnover of USD2.81b, up 4.5% year-on-year. In the first 4 months, the contract workers of all sorts sent abroad accumulatively reached 119,700, rising 12,100 from the same period last year. Late April, the contract workers of all sorts overseas were 796,700, rising 79,000 from the same period last year.
