Two Inland Ports of China and Canada Inked Cooperation Agreement

Chongqing Cuntan port and Canadian central port inked an agreement in Shanghai on May 18 to bolster the expanding of trade and investment of the two countries. Based on the agreement, such two inland ports will conduct cooperation in such three aspects as information exchange, strategic partnership and technology sharing.
Cuntan bonded port is China’s first inland bonded port and located in the economic belt of the upstream of the Yangtze River, including a multimodal transport of airline, railway, highway and sea transportation. Canadian central port is an inland port and one foreign trade zone newly developed in North America. “The inland ports of two important trade countries have numerous similarities. In the future, they will explore commercial opportunities in mutual markets.” Chairman of Canadian central port Diane Grey stated to reporters.
