It was known by the reporter from Wuhan Customs that ASEAN has surpassed the US to be Hubei’s third largest trade partner, shy of the EU and Japan. In the first 4 months of this year, bilateral trade totally amounted to USD650m, up 60.9% year-on-year.

Among them, the provincial export to ASEAN reached USD440m, up 37.6% year-on-year; and import from ASEAN USD210m, up 1.5 times year-on-year.

Data from the Customs indicated that in the first 4 months of this year, total value of foreign trade import and export of the province accumulatively reached USD7.2b, up 42.1% from the same period last year. Among them, export was USD4.02b, up 41.2% year-on-year; and import USD3.18b, up 43.2% year-on-year.
