Petra Diamonds Completes Kono Project Divestment

Miner Petra Diamonds announced that is has completed its transaction with Stellar Diamonds, whereby Petra has divested of its interest in the Kono Diamond project in Sierra Leone in exchange for Stellar shares.
The diamond miner said that the transaction was completed after Stellar issued 4,500,000 ordinary shares in favor of Petra Diamonds, settling the transaction consideration of £900,000.
Petra Diamonds is considered one of the world's leading rough diamonds suppliers, with a gross resource base of 262 million carats.
The Kono Diamond Project, which is Sierra Leone's only underground diamond mine, reached full-scale production in 2009.
