Hu Jintao Attended 2nd Round China-US Strategic and Economic Dialogue and Delivered Speech

The two-day 2nd China-US Strategic and Economic Dialogue held the opening ceremony at the Great Hall of the People on May 24 with Chinese President Hu Jintao attending the opening ceremony and delivered a speech titled Struggle to Promote the Construction of the Sino-US Positively Cooperative and All-Round Relations.
Chinese President Hu Jintao's special representatives, Vice Premier Wang Qishan and State Councilor Dai Bingguo and U.S. President Barack Obama's special representatives, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner jointly presided over the Dialogue, at which nearly 50 responsible persons from more than 40 departments of the two states were present, including tens of ministerial-level senior officials. Both parties will extensively and deeply exchange views on the strategic, long-term and overall issues related to the development of the two states’ relations.
