Guangdong and HK Jointly Held Information Talk on Guangdong and HK Cooperation Framework Agreement

The government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (Hong Kong SAR) and Guangdong provincial government on June 1 jointly held the information talk on the Guangdong and Hong Kong Cooperation Framework Agreement, hoping to further deepen cooperation between Guangdong and Hong Kong through in-depth discussion of contents concerning the Agreement in the industry circle and of experts and scholars.
Chief Executive of Hong Kong SAR Donald Tsang Yam-Kuen, governor of Guangdong province Huang Huahua, Chief Secretary for Administration of Hong Kong SAR Henry Tang and vice governor of Guangdong province Wan Qingliang attended the activity and delivered speeches, and vice director of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong SAR Zhou Junming attended the activity.
Donald Tsang Yam-Kuen stated while delivering a speech that cooperation between Guangdong and Hong Kong started over 30 years ago and the future 30 years will see more clear development orientation and division of labor on the basis of solid cooperation. He expressed that the “framework agreement” signed at the beginning of April in Beijing transferred the macro-policy of the Planning Program for the Reform and Development in the Pearl River Delta into the specific measures beneficial to the development of the two places to have offered a useful platform to deepen bilateral cooperation, which is conducive to struggle more first-pilot measures later on.
