China-Italy Medium and Small Businesses Cooperation Forum Held in Italy

On June 7 Beijing time, the “China-Italy Medium and Small Businesses Cooperation Forum” and Enterprises Symposium was held in Milan, Italy, which He Guoqiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the CPC Central Committee, attended and delivered a keynote speech titled Deepening Cooperation to Jointly Create a Mutual and Win-Win Situation, with Chinese vice commerce minister Gao Hucheng, chairman of Italian Lombardy Roberto Formigoni and vice minister of the Ministero dello Sviluppo Economico Adolfo Urso attending and addressing the Forum. More than 250 entrepreneurs from the two countries participated in the Forum.
Gao said “China-Italy Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum” was held in Beijing several days ago, and persons from bilateral business circle presently gather at the “China-Italy Medium and Small Businesses Cooperation Forum” held in Milan. The Ministry of Commerce of China (MOFCOM), one of the sponsors, hopes such two major forums have delivered the positive signal of cooperation and common development to the entrepreneurs from both parties and medium and small enterprises from the two countries seize the opportunity to further enhance two-way investment cooperation.
On the afternoon of that day, entrepreneurs from the two countries present conducted the matchmaking negotiations with a warm, intense and orderly atmosphere and remarkable achievements. 80 domestic enterprises and 98 counterparts from Italy reached 29 agreements of cooperation, involving the amount of USD86.677m, of which import and export projects reached 18 ones, with the intention amount of USD41.627m; technology introduction and labor service projects 8 ones, with the intention amount of USD38.25m; and investment projects in Italy 3 ones, with the intention amount of USD6.80m.
