MOFCOM Released Preliminary Ruling on Anti-dumping Investigation on Imports of X-Ray Security Inspection Equipment from EU

The Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) released the preliminary ruling on the anti-dumping investigation on imports of X-Ray Security Inspection Equipment from the EU in No.33 Announcement on June 9. According to the ruling, dumping existed in imports originated from the EU, which caused material damage to domestic industry. There exists a causal relationship between dumping and material damage.
According to the announcement, importers of such products originated from the EU should place deposits at a rate from 48.2% to 71.8% at Chinese customs from June 10 of 2010.
