Alrosa Hosts Rio Tinto Visit to Severalmaz

Russian diamond giant Alrosa hosted a senior delegation of miner Rio Tinto Diamonds at the OJSC Severalmaz sites in the Arkhangelsk region.
According to Alrosa's website, Rio Tinto's mission consisted of top managers in charge of technology, innovation and financial sector management, all of whom with considerable experience in the diamond business.
Moscow's diamond giant was represented by Vice-President Sergei Pushkin, Chief Geologist & Deputy Executive Director Sergei Mityukhin, and Presidential Adviser of Alrosa Sergei Mezhokh.
The Rio Tinto delegates visited the quarry and the processing plant of the Lomonosov GOK, where they got acquainted with all stages of diamond production and received clarification from specialists of OJSC Severalmaz and Alrosa.
The visit was described as productive and Alrosa's press release said the "during the meeting a productive exchange of experience on issues of technology and organization of diamond production took place."
