Wuhan, located in central China, seized the opportunity of the full launching of China-ASEAN Free Trade Area (FTA) and held the first campaign of Wuhan enterprises approaching ASEAN in a series of economic and trade activities on June 15—the Philippines special promotion and introduction and matchmaking symposium to promote the economic and trade cooperation between its enterprises and the Philippines and other ASEAN countries.

Vice mayor of the municipality Yue Yong, executive secretary general of China-ASEAN Business Council(CABC)Xu Ningning and director of the Investment Sector under the Department of Trade and Industry of the Philippines HanoNemo and his delegation conducted negotiations on the issues of further strengthening the economic and trade cooperation and utilization of resources between Wuhan and member countries of ASEAN.

Yue stated that the municipality will adopt measures to support important enterprises to approach ASEAN and take the advantage of the FTA to explore a vaster international market.
