China is still a main destination for foreign firms to transfer their industrial sector, Lu Zhongyuan, vice president of the Development Research Center of the State Council, said at a forum Sunday.

The future shift will focus on high-end manufacturing, regional research and development, as well as a modern service industry, he said, citing a recent survey of more than 1,500 foreign companies.
