Bilateral Trade between China and ASEAN Amounts to USD111.8b in First Five Months

Xu Ningning, Secretary-General of China-ASEAN Business Council, said on attending the economic and trade activities of Wuhan enterprises into the ASEAN that the bilateral trade value between China and ASEAN amounted to USD111.8b in the first five months of 2010, with an increase of nearly 58%, and the ASEAN had surpassed Japan becoming China’s third largest trading partner.
China - ASEAN Free Trade Area, which has been built in recent ten years, has greatly promoted the bilateral cooperation in economy, trade and investment. On January 1 this year, China - ASEAN Free Trade Area was fully launched.
