Sahajanand Technologies (STPL) has launched its newest development – the Lazer Super-9 – as well as several new models of the Magnus Planner series, as part of a joint seminar with Northrop Grumman (USA), titled "The Real Phenomenon of Lazer Diode."
The seminar was held at the Indian Diamond Institute, in Surat, India, with aim of explaining the benefits of laser technology and laser diode in diamond cutting applications.
According to Diamond World, leading Indian diamantaires, including Sevantibhai Shah (Venus Jewel), Jivrajbhai Surani (J.B Diamond), Muljibhai Dhamelia (Swati Diamond), Ravjibhai Kakdia (Sheetal Group), Laljibhai Patel (Dharmanandan Diamond), Vallabhbhai Kakdia (Sheetal Group), Kishorbhai Virani (Karp Impex) and Nagjibhai Sakaria (H.Vinodkumar), attended the equipment's unveiling.
Experts and technical assistants from STPL & Northrop Grumman explained the hidden functions and benefits of laser diode in diamond cutting application, and important parameters of laser technology including laser beam pointing stability, thermal lensing (thermal blooming) stability, beam roundness and Noise/flicker comparison at the seminar which was organized in four different sessions.
David Jones, Director of Sales & Marketing of Northrop Grumman said that “the advantage of this Laser Module is that it provides superior beam quality and stability compared to other diode module available in market and that too with less electricity. This module provides approximately 50%-60% more output power… than other modules in the same laser cavity."
