CPI of Thailand in June 2010 rises 3.3%

Consumer price index ( CPI) of Thailand in June 2010 rose 3.3 percent year on year to stand at 108. 15, an increase of 0.26 percent from May, the Ministry of Commerce reported on Thursday. The Bangkok Post's website reported the month's core CPI, which excludes food and energy, stood at 103.63, up 1.1 percent from June 2009 and 0.12 percent from the previous month. The price index for food and beverages in June was 123.53, a year-on-year increase of 6.1 percent and 1.01 percent from May. The month's price index for non-food and -beverage was up 1.5 percent year on year, but was down 0.19 percent from May to stand at 98.71, according to the ministry.
