The US's Fortune magazine released its 2010 Global 500 list Thursday night (Beijing time), and China was shown with 54 firms on the list, more than last year's 43.
Three Chinese companies make up the top 10. China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (Sinopec), State Grid Corporation, the nation's biggest power grid operator, and China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) are ranked in the seventh, eighth and tenth positions respectively.
Global retail giant Wal-Mart still tops the list with revenues worth $408.21 billion, followed by Royal Dutch Shell, last year's champion.
Liu Bo, an analyst from Sinolink Securities, said that under the financial crisis, many international financial and auto firms were hit mercilessly, which gave many Chinese firms an opportunity to secure a good position in the rank.
Under the severely-negative influence of the financial crisis, the revenue of firms from the world's main developed bodies like US, EU and Japan saw a dramatically-strong decrease.
