It was known by the reporter from the secretariat of the China-ASEAN Expo that as China-ASEAN Free Trade Area has been fully completed, investment of Chinese enterprises in ASEAN rises rapidly. Up to April 2010, total two-way investment between China and ASEAN accumulatively amounted to USD70b, of which investment of China in ASEAN accumulatively reached roughly USD10b.
With the pace of Chinese enterprises’ “going abroad” speeding up, ASEAN countries have been one of the destinations of Chinese overseas direct investment. Bilateral mutual economic cooperation is being deepened and the cooperation of both parties in such areas as infrastructures, agriculture, manufacturing, processing and service industry goes smoothly.
