Entrepreneurs from China and France held talks in Paris on the afternoon of July 9, discussing potential cooperation in their respective industry. More than 130 representatives from 86 Chinese enterprises conducted negotiations with 150 representatives from 90 French enterprises and organizations, reaching the cooperation intention of US$387.5 million.

On the morning of that day, Wu Bangguo, Chairman of the Standing Committee of National People’s Congress, and Accoyer, French National Assembly speaker delivered inspiring speeches in the opening ceremony of the Forum, and 10 enterprise representatives of the two countries introduced their experiences in exploring market and growing into international enterprises in their speeches, which aroused echoes of more than 400 entrepreneurs.

In the following talks, substantial achievements were made by representatives from commercial departments and associations covering energy conservation, electrical & mechanical equipments, innovative and high technologies, textile, services, trade & investment and contracted projects. According to the preliminary statistics, the contract value of cooperation intention amounted to US$387.5 million.

This forum had three features: firstly, great achievements were made in new energy and energy conservation. Enterprises of the two countries had cooperation intention in sectors of solar energy, electro-mobile, and heat energy. Secondly, cooperation in agricultural products and food processing industry is outstanding. Intention for cooperation was also highlighted in agricultural and animal products processing industry. Cooperation was expected for wine trade, vineyard, and further processing of tomato ketchup, etc. Thirdly, economic development areas, technology parks, chambers of commerce and associations aroused wide attention. The proposal on enhancing China-France bio-park construction made by Chinese leaders in their speeches inspired representatives in cooperation. Enterprises of the two countries exchanged their views on the investment of new energy, software development, and food security track system, etc.
