Director of the Department of Communication Development of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) Zhang Feng stated at the press conference on economic operation of industry and communication industry in the first half of this year held yesterday that the office of “network convergence” coordination group under the State Council will soon issue related guiding opinions to 12 pilot cities and regions to orderly boost the pilot program of “network program”.

On June 30, the “network convergence” coordination group deliberated and approved such 12 cities as Beijing, Shanghai, Harbin, Dalian and Nanjing as the first batch of “network convergence” pilot cities. “This marks the “network convergence” pilot program has been officially launched.” Zhang said.
