China and UK Probe into Low-Carbon Economic and Technical Cooperation

At the recently-held symposium on “Beijing-London Low-carbon Economy and Technology”, representatives from London Development Agency and Beijing Scientific Committee, enterprises and scientific research institutions discussed the efforts and achievements of China and the UK in developing low-carbon economy and appealed to both parties to break through the academic exchange facet in low-carbon economy and technology and step up the commercialization of cooperation achievements.
President of London Development Agency Peter Bishop stated that the cooperation of both parties presently focuses on academic exchanges and in the future, both parties shall enhance not only academic exchanges but also the commercialization of technological achievements.
Deputy Director of Beijing Scientific Committee present at the symposium Zhu Shilong said: “we hope to use the experience of London for reference to strengthen cooperation and further the specific cooperation in low-carbon technology and other areas through exchanges of high-level visits, personnel exchange and jointly organized events.”
