Import and Export Recovery of Shanghai Foreign-invested Enterprises Confirmed

Based on the statistics of the Customs, in the first half of the year, the import and export growth of Shanghai foreign-invested enterprises was nearly 3 percentage points higher than the municipal average level, with the import and export recovery confirmed.
Since two thirds of total import and export of Shanghai come from foreign-invested enterprises, the confirmation of the import and export recovery of foreign-invested enterprises is of great significance to the improvement of the overall environment of the municipal foreign trade and also conducive to foreign businessmen’s further investment in Shanghai.
Statistics indicated that in the first half of the year, import and export of Shanghai foreign-invested enterprises stood at USD116.008b, up 45.35% from the same period last year, of which export amounted to USD58.237b and import more than USD57.77b, up 40.33% and 50.78% year-on-year respectively.
