China’s first export project of electricity and storage battery double energy metro engineering maintenance vehicle (Singapore) officially kicked off in the CSR Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co., Ltd recently.

Inspector-general of the marketing center of mass transit vehicles and track engineering vehicles of the above-mentioned corporation Chen Cheng told the reporter on August 4 that such double-energy metro engineering maintenance vehicles don’t burn fuel or emit smoke not only on the ground of cities but also in the closed metro tunnels. And each such vehicle may reduce carbon dioxide of nearly 2100 tons within the 30-year period of use compared with diesel metro engineering maintenance vehicle, with the saved expenses of more than RMB6.4m.
