Baosteel sees prosperity in Xinjiang's coal output

Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. (Baosteel) announced Friday that its subsidiary in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region will achieve a yield of seven million tons of coal resources in three years, according to reports.
By the end of 2009, the capacity of the subsidiary had already reached 2.45 million tons of coal.
It will not only be a pioneer among all Baosteel's subsidiaries in coal resources exploitation and integration, but also provide integration experience for other enterprises of the kind home and abroad, said Xu Lejiang, chairman of Baosteel.
The subsidiary will help Baosteel to form a new resources supply chain, added Xu.
