Kazakh mining giant JS Eurasian Natural Resources Company plc is acquiring a 50.5% controlling interest in Camrose Resources Ltd. which is owned by Israeli diamantaire Dan Gertler, for $175 million, reports Globes.

Camrose's main assets are indirect holdings in five copper and cobalt exploitation licenses in the Congo, according to Globes.

Businessman Beny Steinmetz is another Israeli diamond dealer operating in the resource-rich Democratic Republic of Congo.
