The 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards saw an unexpected star take to the red carpet – platinum jewelry.



A-list television stars donned in their fashion best, but while gown choices displayed varied style and color, when in came to choosing the official bling for the night, the majority opted for classic elegance of platinum jewelry.

British actress Emily Blunt looked dazzling in platinum and diamond bangle, platinum and diamond ring, platinum and diamond flower hair pin, and a pair of platinum and diamond stud earrings by Lorraine Schwartz – all meant to complement her platinum engagement ring and wedding band by Neil Lane.

Reality sensation Kim Kardashian showed off her Platinum cuff, studded with 80 carats in champagne and white diamonds, 15 carat platinum and diamond stud earrings, an 8 carat platinum and diamond pinky ring, and platinum and diamond hair pins by Lorraine Schwartz.

"Mad Men" leading lady January Jones wore platinum and diamond stud earrings and a platinum and yellow diamond ring by Cartier.

Kyra Sedgwick, aka "The Closer" sparkled with platinum bracelets with multi-colored gemstones, a 60 carats platinum ring with rubellite and diamonds, and a pair of blackened platinum drop earrings by Ofira.

Saturday Night Live comedian Amy Poehler opted for platinum and diamond drop earrings, bracelet and ring by Stephen Russell.

"Gilmore Girls" and "Parenthood" star Lauren Graham sizzled with blackened platinum and diamond star earrings, platinum and diamond bangle, two platinum and diamond rings, and a platinum ring with black agate and diamonds by Ofira.

"30 Rock" funny lady Tina Fey chose platinum and black diamond tassel bracelet by Lorraine Schwartz.

"Dexter" star Jennifer Carpenter wore two platinum and diamonds bracelets, and drop earrings by Martin Katz.

Actress Julie Bowen wore platinum and diamond stud earrings and bracelets by Neil Lane, Dianna Agron had on platinum earrings with 246 brilliant-cut diamonds and 2 briolette diamonds (2.54 carats) by Cartier; while Jessalyn Gilsig, Elisabeth Moss, Holland Taylor and Heather Morris all opted for Chopard creations in platinum and diamonds.
