Have you ever wondered what is safe and what isn't when it comes to your granite countertops? How to clean it, what to clean it with and what to stay away from? What will harm the stone and what won't.
Step1
First, sweep all crumbs and other pieces of food from granite surface.
Step2
Using a mild soap (soap that you wouldn't mind washing your own hands in) and a sponge moistened with warm water, wipe down the surface of the granite.
Step3
Now that the surface is clean, spray the granite sealer all over the surface of the stone. Wipe it evenly and generously over the stone with a sponge. Let this completely dry before doing anything on the granite surface. This sealer is what is really going to keep your granite clean. It acts as a barrier and prevents anything else from absorbing into and staining the stone. Next time you need to clean the surface, use mild soap and water and rest assured that nothing has seeped below the surface of your countertop!
