All 72 passengers emerged unscathed after a Tu-154 jet aircraft of Alrosa Airlines, which is owned by the Russian state diamond company Alrosa, was forced to make an emergency crash landing, The Moscow Times reported.
The plane took off from the Sakha Airport en route to Moscow, but suffered an electrical failure 3.5 hours into the flight, rendering the navigation devices and fuel pumps useless. In addition, the plane lost radio contact.
Pilot Yevgeny Nonosyolov dumped the fuel and managed to spot a military airfield, where he brought the aircraft down.
The plane's black box has been recovered, but its data has not been published.
