Canadian actress Allie MacDonald, the star of SCORE: A Hockey Musical, wowed the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) when she walked the red carpet sporting a necklace of rough diamonds from Ontario valued at $1 million.
The necklace features 27 rough stones, rather than polished diamonds, weighing 75 carats set in 18 karat gold and was designed by artist Reena Ahluwalia and crafted by a Vancouver firm, Crossworks, which has an exclusive agreement to polish an allocation of diamonds from the De Beers diamond supplier's Victor mine.
"A Canadian star wearing Ontario diamonds on the red carpet at the gala opening of the TIFF made all of us at Crossworks very proud," said Dylan Dix, Marketing Director of Crossworks Canada.
